Castrol Hyspin AWS™ hydraulic oil range is based upon highly refined mineral oil enhanced with a stabilised zinc additive system.
Application
Hyspin AWS has been specially formulated to provide good anti-wear and thermal stability performance using proven additive technology. CASTROL TRIBOL GR HT 2
Castrol Tribol™ GR HT 2 (previously called Optitemp™ HT 2) is high performance grease for long-term lubrication of rolling and sliding bearings at high operating temperatures as well as at normal or medium bearing pressures. Tribol GR HT 2 is light-colored.
Application
For thermally loaded rolling and sliding bearings such as fan bearings in the textile, wood, plastics and food industries as well as in stove furnaces of the automotive industry For steam-heated calender or drying cylinder bearings As sealing grease for labyrinth seals at high temperatures For the application in slightly acidic or alkaline atmospheres

Castrol Optigear Synthetic 800/220
Castrol Optigear Synthetic™ 800 Range (previously called Tribol™ 800) synthetic gear oils have been developed for the lubrication of heavily loaded gears, bushings and bearings which may operate over a broad range of temperatures from ambient to elevated temperatures (>80°C/176°F). They are particularly intended to extend the service life of both lubricant and machine parts where unusually high operating and oil reservoir temperatures are encountered. The high performance characteristics of Optigear Synthetic 800 are achieved with select polyalkyleneglycol (PAG) based synthetic fluids. They feature chemical and thermal stability, high viscosity index, water solubility, and compatibility with metals and elastomers most commonly used in machine construction. The naturally high resistance to oxidation of the synthetic base fluid is further enhanced by inhibitors. Corrosion protection is very effective even in the presence of water. Also, a package of high performance additives acts in combination for superior anti-wear and Extreme Pressure (EP) performance.
Application
The Optigear Synthetic ™ 800 range is especially suited to reservoirs and circulation systems operating at high temperatures because of heat generated in severe service or high temperatures in the application. Optigear Synthetic 800 are intended for all types of heavily loaded gears including spur, bevel and worm gears. Although well suited for all types of gearing and bearings, the Optigear Synthetic 800 range is particularly effective in controlling wear and reducing friction between sliding surfaces. In addition, they possess a high degree of affinity for cupric metal alloys.

Castrol Optigear Synthetic X 320
Castrol Optigear™ Synthetic X 320 is based on synthetic hydrocarbons and Castrol’s Microflux Trans (MFT) Plastic Deformation (PD) additive and surface improvement additive package.
MFT PD helps improve lubricant performance when operating temperature and loads reach a certain level of activation energy, by enabling the micro-smoothing of surface roughness without increasing wear. The smoothed surface delivers optimum wear protection and an extremely low coefficient of friction, especially in applications which experience extreme pressure, shock loads, vibrations or low speeds. MFT PD helps to protect against scuffing and shock loading, while maintaining a high load carrying capacity, and can help prevent the progression of micro-pitting in pre-damaged gears.
Application
Optigear Synthetic X 320 may be used in spur gear, bevel gears or planetary gear units and in heavy loaded gear units, e.g. wind turbine main gears. It is also suitable for the lubrication of oil-lubricated rolling bearings.
Depending on the specific application, Optigear Synthetic X may be used in an operating temperature range from -35°C/31°F to +95°C/203°F (refer to a Castrol technician for more information, if necessary).
Optigear Synthetic X is a CLP-HC gear oil (according to DIN 51502) and exceeds the minimum requirements according to DIN 51517 (2003), part 3, CLP gear oils.

Castrol Molub Alloy OG 936 SF NG
CASTROL MOLUB-ALLOY™OG 936 SF NG (previously named Molub-Alloy 936 SF NG) is a uniquely compounded open gear lubricant developed specifically for use on heavy duty mining equipment. It is compounded to give maximum protection to gears and slides on draglines and shovels minimising potential pollution to the environment. Formulated to address environmental concerns, CASTROL MOLUB- ALLOY™ OG 936 SF NG is free of lead, antimony, barium and chlorinated solvents. No solvents of any kind are used.
A highly refined, viscous, paraffinic petroleum derivative is the foundation of a blended base fluid with excellent natural chemical and thermal stability. CASTROL MOLUB-ALLOY™ OG 936 SF NG is compounded to flow readily in the film-forming process, yet it resists “squeeze-out” and clings tenaciously to gear teeth even in vertical position.
A proprietary blend of CASTROL MOLUB-ALLOY™ lubricating solids is included to promote antiwear and load carrying properties beyond those of conventional lubricants. The selected lubricating solids work synergistically with chemical antiwear and EP additives, to reduce friction.
Rust and oxidation inhibitors are included in the formulation to protect the equipment and the lubricating film against the elements in severe climates.
Application
Mining applications include all types of open gears, rails and rollers, racks and pinions, dipper sticks, saddle blocks and other slides on draglines and shovels.

CASTROL LONGTIME PD 00
Castrol Longtime™ PD range are lithium based greases containing highly refined mineral oils and fortified with the Microflux Trans (MFT) additive system. The MFT additive technology provides optimum wear protection and an extremely low coefficient of friction even under extremes of pressure, vibration, shock loads, at high or low speeds or varying microsmoothing of the friction surfaces. Under severe load, components of the MFT additive combination are activated and diffuse into the surfaces initiating an improvement of their friction characteristics through plastic deformation. The organic reaction products become a component of the tribopolymer system. Unlike the case with conventional lubricants, the tribopolymers formed by MFT are long-chained compounds with excellent lubricity and adhesion. The load carrying area is improved, a hydrodynamic lubrication film is easier to maintain. This unique physio-chemical reaction achieves a nonsacrificial micro-smoothing of the friction surfaces.
Application
Longtime PD can be used for long term or lifetime lubrication even under the most difficult operating conditions such as extreme pressure, vibrations, shock loads and a wide temperature range in highly loaded rolling and sliding bearings.
They can also be used in bearings of spinning and grinding spindles, for gear motors exposed to shock loads, in screening/wood shaping machines and for bearing surfaces of printing plates. These greases are also suitable for bearings with a rotating outer ring and undergoing high stresses due to centrifugal load, e.g. in spreader rolls, roll neck bearings in steel mills, and for bearings with changing rotational directions or slewing movements. They are also used in curved teeth couplings and centralised lubricating systems. Longtime PD 0 and PD 00 can be used as a semi-fluid grease lubricant in gears such as flange, drum-type and worm gears. It is also suitable for use in gears without oil-tight enclosures, gear wheels and rolling bearings with a grease reservoir.

-Exceptional water resistance – coating film stays on the surface even in presence of water; even when exposed to the action of hot and chemically active process water.

CASTROL SPHEEROL HD
Castrol Spheerol HD is a premium, lithium complex, NLGI No. 2 grease, especially developed for heavy duty applications. The product is enhanced by tackifier, 5% molybdenum disulphide and extreme pressure additives, which offer excellent protection from wear. Suitable for use at operating temperatures between -20º and 150ºC.
Application
Castrol Spheerol HD may be used in a variety of heavy duty and high temperature applications in areas of severe operating and climatic conditions. The product is especially suitable for the lubrication of heavy duty components that are subjected to rotating motion, stock loading and water ingress, for example : chassis, highly loaded kingpins, U-joints, bucket pins, fifth wheels and open gears.

CASTROL SPHEEROL APS 3
Castrol Spheerol APS2 and APS3 are premium quality, extreme pressure, lithium-based, general-purpose industrial greases.
APPLICATION
Castrol Spheerol APS2 and APS3 are both recommended for all applications where bearings are used and as a general-purpose grease on industrial and equipment where extreme pressure exists.
